UPDATE: Added 2 little guides for those who are troubled. MAJOR UPDATE: Okay I fixed the files, now everything should work correctly. If you did the guide please re-download the new files, as I fixed the private server shortcut in it. UPDATED: Anyone who did this guide please re-do it as I didn't mention things correctly...
---------------------------
Well for many hours I was struggling to get the patcher to work, yet again the game itself. So I finally did some research and finally got what I was looking for! This is my guide to getting iRO2 to work for you! All of the common errors should be resolved with my instructions. IMPORTANT: Make sure to have iRO2 installed before doing these instructions, to get iRO2 currently the only working download method is via torrent. You can download their torrent in the "Download" section on the site. Patching iRO and Making it English. 1. Download http://rapidshare.com/files/191248253/Ragnarok_2_Stuff_FINAL.zip 2. Navigate to "C:\Program Files\Gravity\RagII"(may be different on some computers) 3. Make a backup of "Ragnarok2.exe". 4. Delete "Ragnarok2.exe" and then copy and paste the alternate "Ragnarok2.exe". 5. Run "Ragnarok2.exe" and let it patch. 6. Make a backup of "Data", BUT DON'T DELETE IT, THE BACKUP IS FOR TAKING THE ENGLISH TRANSLATIONS OFF. 7. Then copy and paste the "Data" downloaded in the file above to "C:\Program Files\Gravity\RagII", select yes to any overwrites. 8. Run "NPC_Patch_5-31-2008" and install it to "C:\Program Files\Gravity\RagII\Data\Language\Kor\npc"(may be different on some computers) 9. Run iRO, now it should be English. Finding the Ragnarok 2 Directory 1. Click Start > All Programs > Gravity > RagII > Right-Click Ragnarok2 > Select Properties. 2. Where it says "Start In", that is where your Ragnarok 2 folder is located. Updating The Private Server Shortcut If It Doesn't Work 1. Right-Click "Divinia ROII.exe"(It is in "Ragnarok 2 Stuff FINAL" folder downloaded above). 2. Select Properties. 3. Now in "Target" replace C:\Program Files\Gravity\RagII\System\RagII.exe with where your RagII.exe is located(you can use the mini-guide above to figure out where you ragnarok directory is) 4. Next in "Start In" replace C:\Program Files\Gravity\RagII\System with where your "System" folder is located(you can use the mini-guide above to figure out where you ragnarok directory is). Note: Make sure you didn't modify ANYTHING but just the stuff I said. Registering on DiviniaRO Private Server 1. Open web browser and go to http://www.diviniaro.com/ 2. Go to "CP/Registration" under the "Divinia RO2 Menu". 3. Fill out all information as it will be used for logging in to the game. 4. Open RO2 through the private server shortcut in my file. 5. When logging in use the Username and Password you registered at DiviniaRO. Now that gets iRO up and running but you may have problems logging in, and/or creating an account. However there is a work around for that, just use the DiviniaRO Private Server, BUT before using any private server check the law, it MAY be illegal. If you do not want to use a Private Server then you can sign up at http://Ragnarok2.co.kr. Thanks to BloodTide he translated the registration process for us and gave us instructions how to register, you can view his guide here https://ragnarok-online-2.com/forum/new-4-28-08-account-creation-t2510.. Feora Posts count: 338 | I had the exact same problem. All you have to do is remove the "Vista Service Pack 1" from your computer. Apparently that file will break RO2. Follow the steps here: http://www.windowsreference.com/windows-vista/how-to-uninstall-windows-vista-service-pack-1-sp1/ |
