RFB Posts count: 16 | I havent played the game yet, will give it a shot this afternoon, but reading the information available at this website, it seems a bit too similar to wow... I mean, /p for party chat? /y for yells? now items are looted from the corpse of the enemies, instead of falling to the floor? =S Is it really WoW-ish or am I just imagining things? |

But I dont know, it feels like most MMOs are trying to copypaste stuff from WoW since it's been so succesful, and the overall changes I've been reading on the website that have been done to RO2 when compared to RO1, I just get the feeling that Gravity is doing it too |

Ok i don't know all that much about RO2 but from what i've read (maybe old info) the game sounds more like FFXI (Final Fantasy XI) the ability to change classes and have a second class. In the future try to just take the game as it is and don't try to look for similaritys to other games, that way you might find new things you like. |

This is like saying that all cars in the world are all the same because they have a ROUND stearing wheel! And, for your information, WoW was basically a copy n paste from other MMO's all they did was add their own content and cartoon style graphics! I know RO is anime based, but it looks a hell of a lot better than wow does. |

They both have gems you put in your equipment for additional stats. WoW had a hearthstone, RO2 has a button with a boot with wings on it, they do the same thing, only difference was WoW limited it to once per hour. (Never been a fan of instant teleports, thats why I liked FFXI, took like an hour to walk from where you were lvling back to town to restock on supplies, so you made sure you choose wisely when buying stuff for your trip.) Both have durability on your equipment, or in RO2s case "HP" When you die the penalty is losing a set percentage of your equipments durability. The interface is very WoWish, 1 paged actionbar, but at least WoW has interface mods, so nobody uses the default interface. Quest structure feels very similar, but I guess if you've done one kill xx for xx reward quest, you've done them all. I think there was a few more things I noted, but I just woke up and therefore too tired to remember them right now. |

I remember in eq1 dying made you want to shed tears, but in games like this one and WoW I'm just like "Hmm, so this quest wants me to kill this dude 10 lvls higher than me... ah well might as well try it, doesn't matter if i die anyways." |

Elite-Guardian Posts count: 199 | one thing that's a lot loike WoW (but WoW might have copied it from elsewhere) is that some of the potions, instead of healing say, 200 hp, it heals 20hp per second for 10 seconds. I just know that that is on WoW and i haven't seen it elsewhere. |
