kimshee Posts count: 118 | Many people are asking the same questions over and over. Also people ask questions I can't even understand. Some are not even questions. So i have decided to make a little guide on how to get fast results in a polite and efficient way. Step 1. Try to figure out the problem yourself. Identify the problem and then try figuring it out. Try basic diagnostics and repair the client or program. If you dont know how Google it. Step 2. (If it wasn't fixed in step 1.)Lurk around in the Forums. Many people ask the same question and eventually they will get the same answer. This is because people don't look around before asking. It maybe hard to find answers on this forum because its so cluttered with questions that have probably been answered before. So look around for a while and learn as much about the problem. Maybe you'll find an answer before asking. Step 3. Ask the Question If you didn't find the answer to your problem in an existing post. Post your own question. Now where do you post it? Probably the best place is in the sub-forum Player's Question. Now when asking a problem this is the best way to do it. Example: Title: Patcher error. Description: I think my client is corrupted. Text: When I tried to open up my client, my patcher would not open and would show this error: (Screen Shot here to show what it looks like) I tried to fix it by repairing the program. However when opening the client again the patcher would not open again and would show the same error. I looked at other error similar to it and tried to fix it that way, however it still will not work. What should I do? Thank you. example end. Providing a screen shot helps out a lot. Its kind of hard to fix something you cant see. Also ask the question in complete sentences that make sense. I cant help people that cant correctly describe the problem. Be polite and literate and someone will probably help you. I hope this helped and i hope to see questions asked in a similar format. The example I completely made up. So remember try to fix it before asking and be polite when asking. State the problem, describe it, show a screen shot of it, and suggest a possible solution. |

kimshee Posts count: 118 | oh and also!!! Kimshee's common remedy for all errors and bugs!!! In patcher click Check files and let it repatch then reinstall translation. If that doesnt work click download and reinstall translation. If that doesnt work or the patcher wont even open. Go to control panel, add remove programs and click change on the RO2 program. Then on the setup click repair. Patch up and (check files if even necessary) and it probably should be fixed by now. |

kimshee Posts count: 118 | How to install Korean Language Package: It is very simple. You don't have to go to some site etc. In fact you don't even have to open a internet browser. Heres how you do it. Open up your control panel. Assuming everything is categorized classically click on regional and Language Options. Now when it opens, click on the tab that says Languages. Then Tick the box next to Install Files to East Asian Languages. click Apply wait for it to download and install then click Okay. Viola you now can see Korean. If this doesn't work then you failed... If I see anymore questions unanswered or answered before but people dont seem to be reading those helpful lil guides out there *HEELLLOOOOO* then I will answer them. |

Satsu419 Posts count: 59 | I personally WANT people to sign up, not only because its annoying to have them constantly asking for help and not reading and figuring it out for themself, but also because i want to RO2 OB english community to expand and GROW! The more english people playing the greater the MMO experience is for everyone. Even though most of these people may be the definition of "noob" (lol :P) but noobs are a part of MMORPGs and have rights too... i guess. <_< Anyways, im rambleing... the point is, this isnt brain surgery people, and i look forward to see those who follow instructions at least as well as a 3rd grader in game. :P |
