Rough guide to quest rewards (and equips)
snowman avatar Posts count: 159 So, armed with my most excelent (not) guide to completing quests you will not doubt start receiving MANY rewards!

Seriously, after having done ALL the quests up to level six I have a complete wardrobe two or three times over.

At the time of writing this the Translation didnt yet translate the bonus's that these items (mainly equips) give you.

Im not going to tell you what all the symbols mean, but I can tell you a logical way of figuring out which pair of shoes you want to keep and which you can sell :D

First thing before we go into equips... Buff potions! - I dont really see the point in these. I can kill EASY enough - just sell them! you WILL need the money.

Obviously, the most important and valuble items are the stat giving items! - well, not so obvious really this is an assumpstion on my part. Based mainly on my experience of MMO's. But this method of identifing 'what something does' is purly a matter of choice.

One ANNOYING thing about RO2 is that you cannot have several windows open at the same time!

Normally I would suggest opening your stats page, and your inventory.. and just 'equip - re-equip' spam and see what numbers change. You cant do this in RO2 so this is what I suggest.

Open up the EQUIP first! [Y]

So you have some shoes, or rings you want to try on.. 'UN-EQUIP' you current item and see what stats go down. Make a mental note. got back to inventory and RE-EQUIP. go back to [Y] and double check! You really SHOULD do this a few times because often more than one stat is changed!

Once your comfortable with what your current item does, equip the NEW item and compare!

Personally, as I want to be a swordsmap, I would rather have a low level boot which gives STR bonus, than a higher level boot which gives INT.

So you may think that you will automatically equip the higher level armor with the most 'Duration' (hit points)... If push comes to shove, sell the low level item! dont worry about it. But in the case of rings capes and caps.. well these are powerfull and you should pay special attention.

    for example :

Everyone LOVES to have a cape... but the cape didnt give me much bonus when compared to a particular Backpack I had!... I looked around and sure enough, more people had this backpack than the cape!..

You may think "well if you level up so fast anyway your going to be swaping equips all the time anyway.. so is there really any point in worring about all this?"

    - YES!

Not only will you KILL faster, you avoid accidental death, your SKILLS level faster and so does your WEAPON!

Also, armor degrades VERY fast! so its always best to have your kit the best it can be and in tiptop shape! - it saves money, time, and unfortunate deaths.

Additionally - I dont know how long it will take or how extensive the English translation patch will be, but this is very good practise for the higher (slower) levels. If you want to keep up with the Koreans (or indeed your friends) you can bet your bottom dollar that these little differences will help alot!

I would appreciate any comments on the stats people are going for on their equips :D

Quait Posts count: 2 Right clicking on an Item in the Equipscreen brings a menu with 2 sometimes 3 points, select the second one, a new window opens with all items in your inventory thats the same slot as the Item you clicked before, clicking (one left click) on them equips it and puts the old one in the inventory
