| Chilpsirhco Posts count: 8 | i have win 2k pro NOT XP :( in the installation guide on this site it says you need applocale. i tried to DL it but it wont lemme instal bc it says its only for win 2003 and xp? is there a work around for this? |

| zindanx Posts count: 7 | In case some of you did what I did at first, I thought I would share my experience at overcoming the error messages I was getting. At first, I just renamed the games Data folder, then copied the patches Data folder into the RagII directory...this did NOT work because there were tons of files missing (the unpatched files needed by the game). The games Data folder and all its subfolders need to be there, and you just need to copy in the patched files to the correct subfolders. 1) Install and update the official client (I used the bit torrent) 2) Make a copy of the Data directory! 3) Make a copy of the Ragnarok2.exe file! 4)Unzip the english patch (I used the"ro2trans-LATEST patch): With this patch, you'll see a Data folder and a Ragnarok2.exe file. Look through the patches Data folder and you'll see a ".svn" folder in each of the subfolders, not sure what this is for, but I copied each on into their respective folders. To get the english patch to work you'll need go into the ..Data\Language\Kor folder and copy the contents of each of is subfolders into the same folders of the game (plus add the .svn folder too): - dat (copy all the patch files into the dat game folder) - fonts (copy all the patch files into the fonts game folder) - npc (copy all the patch files into the npc game folder) Note: The game folder of ...data/language/kor as other subfolders which will not be touched, so just leave them alone. Now if you did all that, the game will be patched for English, but you just might see blank windows ingame with no text. There is a fix for this too on the auraiken site, called "RO2-Blankfix". Get that and install it, just like you did with the English patch (put the patch files into the correct game folder...data\language\kor\fonts). That will make things look correct. =) |

| Misan Posts count: 1 | I have everything working, but I have one problem. None of the text for the quests or the NPCs is translated. Is there somewhere I can get a patch for those? I have the latest patch from that link most people have been posting, but no NPC or quest translation :(. |

| skellum Posts count: 1 | Alright I have an account and have everything installed but my only problem is my patcher gets to a certain point and I get an error saying that the file is inuse and it cancels the patching and won't let me play. Does anyone know how to fix this? |

| zanar Posts count: 3 | Um Hi there I've just got a lot of errors so i wish u guys can help us out - I'd really appreciate it =D. So I've followed the steps, Installed the client, deleted the desktop short cut and installed the language packs "ROtrans-latest". I downloaded and installed a korean language pack for windows, and i can view korean websites. When i use applocale, i still get boxes as my selection instead of korean and after selecting it, It tells me "your system does not have the language support for the selected language installed!" [lol yes, with an exclaimation point =p] Anyways that doesnt stop me from trying to run ro. So i open my RagII exe and it launches the patcher. It then asks me some quesion in english that doesnt make sense, but i answer yes. Then i get an error... one of those windows xp looking errors... Once again any help is appreciated. |
